An American record producer and songwriter, Bob Thiele (1922–1996) was a significant figure in jazz and popular music from the 1950s through the 1990s. He produced hundreds of albums for Impulse! Records, including many by John Coltrane, and founded several labels like Flying Dutchman. Thiele is also known for co-writing the iconic song "What a Wonderful World."
