Lew Brown was an American lyricist and librettist, famous for his collaborations with Buddy DeSylva and Ray Henderson. As part of the songwriting trio DeSylva, Brown, and Henderson, he penned numerous popular songs and Broadway scores. His work defined much of the Tin Pan Alley sound of the 1920s and 1930s.
