An American rock and pop songwriter and musician born in 1950, Jim Peterik is best known as the co-founder of the band Survivor. He co-wrote many of their hits, including the iconic "Eye of the Tiger," which earned him a Grammy Award. Peterik's prolific career also includes writing for numerous other artists and fronting the band Ides of March.
