Canadian-American saxophonist and songwriter Carmen Lombardo (1903–1971) was a prominent figure in popular music during the big band era. He gained fame as a lead saxophonist and vocalist in his brother Guy Lombardo's Royal Canadians orchestra, contributing to their signature "sweet music" sound. Beyond his performance, Lombardo was a prolific and successful songwriter, co-writing numerous hits like "Boo-Hoo" and "Seems Like Old Times," which became standards of the era.
