Mildred J. Hill was an American songwriter and musicologist, best known for co-composing the melody of "Good Morning to All," which later became the tune for "Happy Birthday to You." She was a pioneer in the study of Negro spirituals and folk music. Her work significantly influenced early childhood music education.
