Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff were an American songwriting and production team who were instrumental in developing the Philadelphia soul sound of the 1970s. They founded Philadelphia International Records and wrote or produced numerous hit songs for artists like The O'Jays, Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, and Billy Paul. Their work helped define an era of R&B music.
