Sammy Cahn was an American lyricist, songwriter, and musician. He is best known for his collaborations with composers Jule Styne and Jimmy Van Heusen, writing lyrics for many popular songs. Cahn was nominated for 30 Academy Awards, winning four for Best Original Song.
