An American composer, arranger, and conductor, Chris Dedrick (1947–2010) was a significant figure in jazz and popular music from the late 1960s onward. He was a founding member of The Free Design, a vocal harmony group known for their distinctive sunshine pop sound. Beyond his work with the band, Dedrick also contributed extensively as an arranger and orchestrator for numerous artists across various genres, showcasing his versatility and sophisticated musicality.
